We invite our students to write about their experiences with Reiki.
Our students are as diverse as they are many.
It continues to amaze me just how Reiki flows through so many beautiful lives.
Here are their stories:
Reiki Across All Cultures
"Reiki has definitely changed my life for the good. I enjoy sharing it with my loved
ones. I have had several situations where I have used Reiki to help family members
in time of need. The outcomes for all the treatments are almost similar, but one
really stands out in my mind and heart. I had just gone through my Level I class
and had to go home to visit my mother-in-law. When we returned home to Farmington
she told me of all her physical ailments. My mother-in-law is a 63-year-old Navajo
woman who never learned to speak English. She was definitely calling out for help,
but didn't know where to turn. She has several medical conditions due to a car
accident when was younger. These conditions include hip and lun problems. I first
started to explain to her in Navajo what I had learned earlier in the month in my
Level I class. Although I am fluent in the Navajo language, it was a challenge. I
then asked if she would like a treatment. She agreed and then I explained to her
the history of Reiki. I then proceeded with the treatment. When I got to her chest
area she started coughing. I continued the treatment on her chest area and the
coughing stopped. When I got down to her legs, she told me that she could feel all
of her pain lifting from her body. It was so amazing to me that I could help in that
way. I look forward to my Level II class so that I can help from my home in Albuquerque."
